Welcome to my personal website, as you have probably gathered by now, my name is Michael Botterill.
I was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, but have spent a good many years away and returned home in 2001 to study Chemistry at Newcastle University. I now live with my beautiful wife Lindsay and our three cats in a little flat next door to St James’ Park.
I am a Bahá’í, and I am doing my best to apply Bahá’í principles to every aspect of my life, I may fail sometimes but I am trying my best to improve myself and work for a kinder more loving world.
My wife and friends often tell me that I seem to have an opinion on everything, so that’s what this site is really a place for me to express my opinions on the world, most of the time they are probably wrong, but I think my friends and wife are fed up with listening to me, so perhaps this can give them some release.
This site also allows me to experiment with various website technologies and allows me to explore them and their implementation, so if this site seems a little too fancy (as my darling wife so kindly puts it), sorry!
