Lindsay looking good while we wait for some tickets! Cheering fans in front of us. Same shot, different setting
The teams are announced Lindsay just before she got a migraine :-( The arena is reasonably full.
Carlisle vs. Sunderland, full time result was Carlisle 0, Sunerland 5, with goals from Martin Scott, Brian Atkinson, Martin Smith & 2 for Chris Makin. My last employer before my current one. Celtic vs. Rangers, a great game, Rangers led it most of the way until Celtic got two late goals.

Full time result Celtic 3, Rangers 2. Celtics goals were scored by Tommy Boyd, Joe Miller & Brian McLaughlin, Rangers goals were scored by Gary McSwegan & Kenny Black.
Carlisle vs. Newcastle, a terrible result for the Toon as they were beat 5-1 by the Cumbrians.

Carlisle's goals were scored by Andy Preece, Darren Edmondson, Chris Billy and 2 for Billy Barr, Newcastle's sole goal was scored by Mattie Appleby. Rangers vs. Middlesbrough. The reining Northern Masters Champions, Middlesbrough played a very good game, full time result, Rangers 1, Middlesbrough 5.

Rangers goal was scored by Neil Murray, the Smoggies goals were scored by Neil Maddison, John Hendrie, Craig Hignett & 2 for Gaizka Mendieta. The Tyne & Wear darby, the big event, Newcastle United vs. Sunderland
The Mackems ran all over Newcastle, who never looked like getting a goal. Full time result, Newcastle 1, Sunderland 2.

The Mackems goals were scored by Lee Howey & Martin Smith, Newcastles sole goal was scored by Alex Mathie. The kiddies penalty kick contest, they all won of course and got a few past Kelham O'Hanlon.
The Smoggies went on to beat The Bhoys 2 -1 is a very close match with two scored by Craig Hignett for Middlesbrough and Chic Charnley for Celtic.

So the final was The Smoggies vs.The Mackems. It was a tough match with a lot of bad tackles. But it was still good football, the tackles might have been hard, but there was no diving.
This match was more competitive than the World Cup final. Sunderland got an early two goals, thanks to Martin Scott & Martin Gray. Lindsay suffered a migraine throughout the whole event, but she battled on. Middlesbrough got one back thanks to Craig Hignett just after the break.
It went right down to the wire. But in the dying 5 seconds of the game Neil Maddison equalised for Middlesbrough, meaning we went to penalties. Getting ready for the penalty shoot-out.
Middlesbrough selected Craig Hignett, Neil Maddison, Graham Kavanagh, Colin Cooper & Gaizka Mendieta to take thier penalties. Martin Smith, Chris Makin, Michael Gray, Martin Gray & Martin Scott took the penalties for Sunderland. Gaizka Mendieta missed his penalty so Sunderland won on penalties 5 - 4.
Getting ready to lift the trophy. Some important bloke from Selco Builders Merchants Michael Gray getting his player of the tournament award.
