The pillar, globe and eagle at Shoghi Effendi resting place. A close up of the eagle on the globe, the eagle is a replica of the original one, which was stolen in April 2000, which itself was a replica of one that Shoghi Effendi originally kept in his office. This was the best photo of the lot, about 15 minutes prior to this it was overcast and raining.
The gates to the resting place This one was at an angle, the place was so peaceful I was in awe and struggled to keep my hands still. This shows how beautiful the whole place is.
It was so blissful you could forget you were in the worlds biggest and nosiest city. The eagle faces towards Bahji, the resting place of Bahá'u'lláh.
